Looks like most of the West Coast of the United States will be affected. Anyone know what’s going on? FlightAware folks, are you expecting receiver outages/issues tied to this?
A friend of mine in southern California observed some drop off in his usual count, but nothing drastic so far. I’ll be watching his site over the next few days as well to see if he has unusual drop offs.
I haven’t seen anything reaching into the Silicon Valley area; my numbers track with what I’d expect.
We’ll see over the next few days.
I found the section of the NOTAM for EMB 800 to basically avoid the area as those birds use GPS for stability as well as nav… Going to research that in the next few days.
