Northwest Trip Tomorrow

I am flying NWA (or “delta”) starting in Kalamazoo, with a stop in DTW, MSP, and ending in Jackson, WY.
Does anybody know of any good photo shooting areas in any of those airports, or anything good to see in those airports?
I am not looking to get my photos on to A.Net or anything, so it doesn’t have to be the perfect shot. Just looking to catch some cool aircraft for personal use.

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks.

PS - If I see something interesting, I’ll be sure to post it.

Why are you going AZO-DTW-MSP when you can fly direct to MSP from AZO? :unamused:

Not exactly what he asked for but I assume it has a lot to do with $$$

Shoot the Flight Attendants!

My eyes! Why would you post that?! :imp:

The flight to JAC out of MSP was scheduled in such a way that the AZO-MSP flight would give me 25 minutes connection time, which they would not approve of, so the other route got me there earlier.
But with the MX issues, it was delayed an hour anyways. :imp:

hmmm, seems i have been smelling the tops of airline chairs for a good reason after all.

Or would you rather see a super skinny old lady who looks creepy due to her face lift? Or just the generally “rough” looking NWA flight attendants… The mainline crews on NWA always look rough compared to the ones on the RJs.

That aside, I saw some interesting aircraft, starting with AZO. Joe Biden was visiting, so the secret service was all over the place, and there was his 737?? and some large military aircraft (Pics Coming).
At DTW, we had to pretty much run to the gate for the MSP flight. In DTW, I saw my very first “Delta” 747 coming up out of the tunnel, but at MSP I saw a variety of “Delta” DC-9’s, along with other “new” “delta” aircraft. Also, for the first time I saw both an old pink Saab 340, a “delta” Saab 340, and a current NWA livery Saab 340 all sitting in a row. And at that point, my camera batteries were out!

Well if I see anything interesting on my way back I’ll be sure to mention it, and when I get a chance to load the pics off my camera, I’ll post some here if I have anything worthwile.

I have yet to see a “Delta Connection” Saab so I really hope you got that photo. If not, I’m sure there is one on a.net

Nope, my camera wasn’t working so I missed out on that one. I had seen the picture on A.net, and that was one I was hoping to catch.

I have to say the Saabs look pretty sexy in the Delta paint scheme, one of the few aircraft that does.

It’s funny, I got to see a Delta Saab today and I didn’t bring my camera either. I must say it was pretty cool but also kind of a downer since I hate working with Saabs and the Delta paint just means it will be around a tad longer.

Except for the fact that “Delta” is parking 10 Saabs effective September from what I hear from the Mesaba guys.

But Mesaba has more than 10 total Saabs. I have heard that they are parking 10 but I want them parked now. They always have weight and balance problems.
