Very few “mud rucking media” would have any idea that an airplane owned by “Jet Clipper Johnny” or “Constellation Productions” would have anything to do with John Travolta UNLESS that information was disseminated here as it has been in the past.
Either way, it makes no difference to me, but for the rest of you who enjoy being a cyber-voyeur, your options are becoming fewer and fewer.
Oprah was stalked here a year ago and she blocked her reg., and now JT because you people can’t give him the privacy he was pleading for.
Oh, the media knows. Travolta told them. He is not the least bit shy about talking about his 707. He is even an official ambassador for Qantas. There’s been a lot of publicity about him.
The media, especially crappy ass shows like Entertainment Tonight, tabloids like National Enquirer, etc., go out of their way to find ever little bit on celebrities.
I’m confident that the reason he blocked his aircraft is not because of the regulars here on FlightAware.
Is that the 707? not familiar with all of travoltas aircraft. the only one I am aware of is the 707. I am sure JT is not happy when his neighbors show up late at night, even in the little planes.
exactly, if you were amongst the rich and famous, the media has invaded enough of there privacy. I would definitely block all access to as much of my private info as possible. most of us are curious, and donot have sinister things in mind when searching the net, for public information. what I am not posting here is not news to most of us. but as we all know a few bad apples will always ruin it for the rest of us.
I would like to say this. If there werent all of us who have to know every move, that celebs, make then there would not be the demand for the Enquirer, etc. so I can only blame myself for this problem. I do want to know on occasions what guys like travolta are doing. I dont want to know every move 24/7. thats me and I know people are celeb obsessed. i am not one of those people. this post is not pointed at everyone here I am talking about this site and the other millions, on the web.
I can’t blame myself because I don’t care. I don’t care one bit what the celebrities do. I do NOT like their self-promoting, patting-myself-on-the-back award shows like the Oscars. (I was highly pissed the other day when each of the 4 TV news shows thought it was news to go live just before 6 a.m. to listen to the idiots announcing the nominees.).
Unfortunately, media has gotten the sheeple of the USA and other countries to think that some actress is getting divorced/married/in a lesbian relationship/dyes her hair is actually news.
i am with you, I want to take pictures of the airplanes they fly in, I have place to go to where I can find out who owns the plane. But I want to know for my own knowledge not to try to do anything bad with that information. you know what I mean dami?? they do that nominee stuff earlly in am on east coast and I live in the mountain time zone, I am not even functioning when they come on the tv. And I just got the net at home at beginning of year. when there is nothing on tv I can go surfing, and ignore all of the bs on tv.

Didn’t fool me, globemaster has a unique style. On the topic, the guy that blames FA “regulars” for outing JT’s tailnumber is nuts. He either wasn’t aware that he could be tracked (very unlikely) or was getting tired of greeting fans at the airport when he landed. Either way you can’t blame him for wanting privacy.
