I know the Japanese always have a different way of getting from Point A to Point B, but this is crazy. Perhaps it is because they are going from Point A to Point A.
You should see the Gulfstream and Citation test flights. I’m sure they are posted in this forum.

How long do they usually test fly these things? The Honda jet has been tested for years.
I don’t know about the duration of testing. It usually isn’t this long, as I believe the first flight occurred in 2003. It was unveiled to the public at Oshkosh, 2005 if I remember correctly. Wikipedia says that two have been built - N420HA and another, which pictures at the Oshkosh pavilion show as being registered N420HJ. There are orders, and factories are under construction in North Carolina for assembly, but they do seem to be doing a lot of tests.
There can be many number of reasons for “test” flights. Some can be short, some can be long…some high altitude, some low altitude. There will be many more for the HJ…even after certification.
Found one of them. Unfortunately they’ve made more recent flights so you’d have to get the archive to find it. But here is the one for the C750.
Same with the Gulfstream.

It was a GV flight path.
There was another one that originated and term’d at KATW, which is the one that think BL linked to.
