MLAT not working 2021

Hi guys, what could be wrong here, out of the blue I got:

Got EOF from multilateration client

And the MLAT indicator button is red.

Please copy-paste output of this command:

journalctl -e -u fa-mlat-client

P.S. Dont forget to place
above and
below the text you copy-paste from PuTTy terminal

actually we want the piaware output, not the fa-mlat-client output (there is no service for fa-mlat-client, it is started by piaware)

Oops!! Completely forgot this point. Thanks @obj for reminding.

journalctl -e -u piaware

thanks abcd567 and obj. The journalctl replies:

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ journalctl -e -u piaware

Assuming this worked on the same hardware previously, this is probably sdcard corruption.

Ok, thanks for hekping our @obj ! I will run a clean install on a new SD card and see if this does the trick

sdcard is probably the most likely explanation, but I have seen a couple of reports of similar crashes which makes me a little suspicious. I can’t reproduce it on any hardware I have here. It’s possibly something like an underlying library getting upgraded and breaking binary compatibility - but the package dependencies seem OK. Did you do any installs or upgrades of other software at around the time that it broke?

No, but auto update is ‘allowed’ so maybe it ran some kind of update

Swapped the SD card and reinstalled Piaware, MLAT works like charm again. Thanks for the guidance @obj !
