Is there a way to make flight number searchable? Often, you’ll hear a flight number clearly, but the callsign will be garbled or mumbled. It’d be great to punch in a flight number (in the same way you can put in an N-number without the N) and get the results of every airborne plane in the database with those numbers. Then, you could simply locate the flight that’s operating in the area you’re listening to and easily identify it.
Or you can go to a map in the area where you heard it and click on that flight.
We have that but the results are limited (type in ABC123 to see a sample). It’s more designed to help find express carrier flights. I’ll see if we can extend that.
