When you start new process, first delete all the files and folders you have created in the old process.
I strongly recommend to download latest Piaware SD Card image (PiAware on Raspbian Linux 3.6.3 ZIP), and re-image microSD card with it to have a clean install to start with. Dont follow procedure in old thread which uses "user www-data". Instead use new thread:

For Piaware SD Card Image, use Option 1. It covers both Jessie based and Stretch based Piaware SD card images:

If you download latest Piaware image, it is Stretch, but if you are using old one, it may be either Jessie or Stretch. To check version of your existing / old Piaware, issue following command
cat /etc/os-release
