Don’t forget the original posting had a subject of something about a head start and then the body of the posting had only the flight URL shown. Nothing to really search on except maybe the aircraft registration. Maybe I should have searched on that but I didn’t.
And they were not ‘lazy’ golfers. They didn’t need their balls to be placed stationary on a tee to drive them 125+ yards.
Ted Williams once reportedly hit a pitched golf ball with a golf club and drove it over Fenway’s left field wall. Now that is genius-quality hand-eye coordination.
No offense, but I don’t know if an aviation website is the correct place for discussing golf tournament strategy.
As far as Lefty going over early, there’s nothing abnormal about that at all. As a kid, I spent my summers in VA w/ my dad, and we went to the former “Anheiser Busch Golf Classic” at Kingsmill in Williamsburg each July. The problem (besides the 95 degree+humidity of VA in the summer) was that it always fell either 1 or 2 weeks before the British Open, so NONE of the “big boys” were ever there. Practically all of them go over at least 2 weeks early to warm up for “The Open.”
That’s funny. Why do comedians think they need to inject hard core curse words into their routines? Williams’ routine would have been just as funny without using the “F” word in every second or third sentence.
Yes, a simple search on Flight Aware (N800PM) would have gave you the answer or this little sight that I know called “google” would also work great.
Please conduct a search on every discussion board and search engine before wasting our time here. After all this is a “Discussion” board, it is not a place to ask questions that could be found somewhere else. We should all spend countless hours reading past posts and looking up information before asking someone else the answer.
