Today is the first time I’ve noticed the CTAF/unicom frequency being used by a tower controller.
Nice find! This airport is covered by LiveATC as well, so this should provide some interesting listening.
Looks like it’s just simulcasting the temporary tower freq 127.5 which is only operational in the middle part of the day.
Heard one old pilot talking to the tower. There are three controllers assigned to it, with something like 105 combined years of ATC experience.
