Courchevel, France.

“Courchevel’s airport has a certain degree of infamy in the aviation industry as home to one of the shortest runways in the world, with a length of 525 metres and a gradient of 18.5% in order to help slow landing aircraft.”

Great ski area.

That’s 1722 feet for all us yankees.

I used to fly from a 1600’ stripin a 172; but not from 6300’ elevation!

Dang that looks like fun. Wonder if the airport has a web cam?

Look what I found airport website

Nice find

Landing an aircraft on a mountain - YouTube)

Video of PC12 takeoff, flying around the moujntains, and then landing again at Courchevel.

I wonder who left the nice skid marks in the OP’s second picture!

Swope Farm airport, Fan Rock, West Virginia.

Swope Farm is a private airport in Fan Rock, WV. It is labeled “hazardous” on the sectional. The owner flew a Baron in and out of his airport for years. Runway is 1250 ft. long and 30 ft. wide. On airnav.com, the instructions state to land uphill, takeoff downhill. Lights–yep it’s lighted–are pilot controlled. Prior permission is required to land.

A satellite photo is available.

Wasn’t the background music in the video from Iron Eagle?

Cool clip.

The Pilatus appears completely at home in that environment, no surprise there.

Also take a look at Telluride CO (KTEX)

I haven’t tried to post an image before, so obviously I messed up somewhere. Anyway, click on the link above.
KTEX is the highest commercial airport in the US.

Hey, not so, Newark!

I’m greeaaatttt at the Internet. I merely suck at image manipulation.

Here you go:

Actually an easy airport to get in and out of from/to the west, but it does have on heck of a dip in it.

RCMD TKOF RY 27; LAND RY 09 AND AVOID POPULATED AREAS. GRADE - 1.9% TO NEAR MIDPOINT THEN +1.9%.

In this picture your looking towards the east. Bad place for a go around.

I’ve been waiting to use that for a while, and i saw this as a perfect opportunity, haha.

I was so close. Dang it

That’s a great pic, leardvr.

Newark, it was a ‘perfect opportunity’, true!
