My Hourly Positions Stats Fallen off cliff.
From about Midday on 29/01/2023, my stats show a big decrease in positions reported back.
Gone from 100,000 to 45,000 at peak. But still the same amount of aircraft.
Nothing has changed in equipment side, but my skyaware software updated from 7.2 to 8.2.
You could check your logs, are the numbers there decreased as well ? I sometimes have the same, usually it is because of a different back-end server that receives the reports. Some servers request an increased reporting frequency and others don’t.
Not much you can do about that. Due to the number of aircraft being equal I don’t think you have issues with the setup on your end.

As I stated earlier, you have had an increased reporting server. You are now returning to the stats prior to January 1st.
There’s nothing wrong with your setup but the backend server where you are reporting to is changed. There is a cluster of servers where you report to so that can change over time.
The same thing has happened to me.
