High Density Airports and Datatags..

Hello,

I was recently looking at some higher density airports such as KMCO (Orlando Intl., etc) and noticed that when aircraft get near each other their datatags dissappear. Is there anything that can be done so I can see the close together aircraft’s datatags? I would also like to say thanks to the creators of flightaware. Finally someone has come up with a free easy to use informative flight tracking solution.

When the datatags get so close to another flight, another info box, or an airport that they would overlap we take them away so they remain readable. In the near future we’ll add the ability to zoom in and out on the maps so you can see the datatags for any flight.

mduell,

Thanks for the prompt response… Hopefully there will be plans to be able to extend the datatags in the future so a user can see the aircraft callsign while zoomed out… Thanks and keep up the great work!

how long before the zoom in feature is available?

thanks.

by the way, i love the site and get great enjoyment from it.

Hopefully there will be plans to be able to extend the datatags in the future so a user can see the aircraft callsign while zoomed out.

That’s a great suggestion by awacs94. In the next mapping release, when when a full ID block is too big to post, could the first-level default be a ‘mini-ID’ box, consisting of callsign only?
