Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms on the board (posters and lurkers alike). And to the men, hoping all the mothers in your life have a wonderful day. Nothing can match a mother’s love, let them know how much they are loved in return. Enjoy!

Flying my mom up to Wiscasset Maine today for a $100 lobster roll!

Hopefully this nasty wind lets off a bit by then…

Gotta’ be content with just telephoning greetings to my Mom as she can no longer leave the facility she’s in.

They’re having a little get-together at my MIL’s Alzheimer facility that we’ll probably attend later today.

Enjoy them while you’ve still got them folks, no matter how crazy they make you. That’s their job, they’re Moms!

And how, lost mine 17 years ago yesterday…our Mother’s day that year was spent at the funeral home.

That’s particularly rough. Sticks with you, doesn’t it? Sorry about your loss. I lost my dad 2 days before my 19th wedding anniversary. We were in the midst of planning for my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary the following October.
Love 'em while you got 'em. Your kids and your siblings too.

Wow sorry to hear. Lost my Mother in-law, and Mom both in '04. Never gets any easier. :frowning:

Thank you for the Happy Mother’s Day. I am sorry that some of you no longer have your mother around.

I have 2 sons and 2 grandsons. They have driven me crazy and I have driven them crazy. But I am so proud of them. I am fortunate to have them and my daughter-in-laws in my life.

All I like is a nice phone call on Mother’s Day. Nothing fancy. I like to keep things simple. My daughter-in-laws are the ones I want my sons to do things for on this special day.

I spent my Mother’s Day doing something I really enjoy, besides flying. I recently purchased a second bike. It is a Yamaha FZ6R. So I went for nice ride. Great day and fantastic company (my boyfriend was on his bike). Couldn’t ask for a better Mother’s Day.

My kids gave me a plaque that reads:
Moms hold their children’s hands for a little while… their hearts forever. This is something I will always cherish.

Thank you again for putting in the Happy Mother’s Day greeting. That was really sweet.
