Is it me or are they more common these days. We reside on the approach to 27L at KMKE, about a block to the North. Well tonight ( 8-10-2011), within 25 minutes there were 2 aborted landings, very unusual or have we sleepy ATC at Mitchell?
There are WAY to many causes for go arounds to get into here and almost all are of the non-nefarious variety. Not worrying about the only two go arounds ever at MKE isn’t going to hurt anything. Baseless speculation might.
And, remember the go-arounds may initiated by the pilots, too.
