Gap In Track Drawing

Has anyone had issues with PiAware’s local webpage not displaying tracks continuously for all aircraft?

For example:

This will happen for all aircraft at the same time. I installed TAR1090 to take a look at the actual data points to be sure it wasn’t a signal issue.

I’ve also noticed that on the ground, PiAware won’t always show all the track data points where FR24 and TAR1090 will.

I’m guessing these issues are internal to the PiAware local page and not the actual data. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Here are some specs in case they are relevant:

PiAware 10.0.1 with MLAT enabled
Feeding 1090+978 via blue and orange FA USBs
Raspberry Pi 4
Cable runs are KMR-240 at 5m
Feeding FA and FR24 only

With default settings you get far from all the track points in tar1090.
(good reception: 2 positions per second and aircraft)

As for the local skyaware display, i’d say you’re switching tabs and it doesn’t update the data in the background.
Reload might “fix it” but it will use bad resolution for the history.
That was one of the reasons why tar1090 was made.

You can tweak the local tar1090 for better track resolution yet.
Or run complicated settings to really have all recorded points / permanently save traces.

Thank you for the explanation. I didn’t know it wouldn’t update the tab in the background for the local SkyAware. It sounds like the data is being logged then, just not displayed fully. Next step is to optimize the gain settings for both the 1090 and 978 sticks. Thanks for the help!
