Last weekend in Dallas I had to board and deplane no less than FIVE TIMES due to a flight cancellation and mechanical issues (SWA flight cancelled out of DAL due to weather in BWI, and four times on AA Airbus 319 due to myriad mechanical issues). As a result, I spent between six and eight hours parked on the tarmac seated on completely full planes.
This raised obvious concerns of the potentially increased risk of viral transmission.
Can anyone familiar with the ventilation systems on Boeing 737-700 and -800 and Airbus 319 EOW elaborate further on the ratio of inside and outside air while parked at the gate?
Thanks in advance!
