Folding Wingtips on the 777?

Did Boeing offer folding wing tips on the 777?

I am asking beacuse the 777 that I have for FS2004 simulates this. Click Here for Screenshot

Reminds me of Carrier aircraft that needs to fold their wings in order to conserve space. Would have been nice to see it on an actual 777, but if there is no need why go through the expense.

They did but no airline wanted the added expense of the folding wingtips.

The 777 just about fits at any airport it flies to, so I can see that happening.
