FlightFeeder: moved. How to update my GPS position?

I’ve tried to register my flightfeeder once again but no success on updating my current position.
How can I update it? Thank you!

No one can help me? :frowning:

Not sure how you set the location in your flightfinder but if you can edit it it will automatically send it to the server when you next upload flights

The flightfeeder does not have any option to update position. Just the website does. I keep trying using it, but my feeder site keeps me in the old place.

If the registration page doesn’t update your location you can send me the FlightFeeder number and LAT/LONG.

Sent to you thru PM.

I have the same problem. Even though how many times i have updated my location after few minutes it changes back the previous location.

I wasn’t having this issue, but my brother was. He moved from east coast to west coast USA, and it was not updated (even though it said it was. I looked at the HTTP respose of the update call for update, and it said “error: coordinates too far apart”.

It allowed changing the lat / long one degree at a time though, which I did to ultimately fix the problem. Not ideal (software bug probably on flight awares side) but works.

So, find the coordinates of your current location of your flightfeeder, then start changing your lat 1 degree toward goal, save, change a degree, save, etc until the degree matches. eg:

-75.543030
-76.543030
-77.543030

-117…543030

Rinse and repeat for long:
39.696944
38.696944
37.696944

32.696944

Once the “whole part” of the number is updated properly, you can now do “use current location” in the browser to change the “decimal part” of the lat /long, which will work since it is not adjusting the “whole part” any.

Worked for me.
