FlightAware Photos released in beta

I’m pleased to announce the beta release of FlightAware Photos, a new part of the web site for sharing and publishing aviation photography. FlightAware Photos allows members to upload photos, associate them with aircraft, and rank them based on quality and overall popularity.

Photos tagged to a specific aircraft will appear (in thumbnail format) on the flight tracking page for that aircraft:

If there are multiple photos of an aircraft, members can vote to select the most popular. You can also directly browse the highest ranked (by vote) photos, the most viewed photos today, or the newest photos.

This is a beta release, so expect some small glitches and quite a lot of improvement (better interface, more functionality) in the very near future. However, you can get started uploading photos right away!

As always, thanks for using FlightAware.
