Tonight it looks to me as if KCHA must have been closed due to weather. There was an extensive holding pattern and then fuel usage must have required the flight to return to KATL.

Then, after midnight, ASQ281 made another attempt at KCHA. It’s shown “en route” now, but the flight path is headed anywhere but to Chattanooga. A big weather front is shown on the map overlay.

That has gotta stink… A 30 minute flight taking 3:30 minutes.
Worse yet, you fly for 3:30 and end up where you began!! …on a CRJ, nonetheless!!
