Another glitch to sort out

Was just looking at the map over the TEB area and noticed TN815, listed as a DC87. Thought it was a rather strange rego so rattled up the FAA register and it’s not listed as a DC8 (N815).

After a little bit of research it turns out to be ATN815. Why is the A being dropped? By searching for ATN815 didn’t bring up the same flight, only historical ones.

This appears to be related to the previously noted bug about stripping the leading T off of air taxi flights.

Thanks for the heads up.

But the correct ID doesn’t start with T, it starts with A.

But he said it was RELATED to, not the same thing as sthe dropping of the “T.” Same principle, different letter.
