I have noticed that Korean Airlines has started sending Boeing 747 jets to Vegas since june 1st or something. Has anyone noticed it? As of now, I have only seen Boeing 747 of Virgin Atlantic from Vegas.

JAL used to fly a B744 daily into KLAS from RJAA between 1998 and 2001. they dropped the route sometime after 9/11. NWA used to fly a B744 on the same route with continuing service to RKSI.
However, for the KAL flight; it could have been a substitute aircraft, because they used to have a B772LR on that route.

It looks like KAL 5/6 was a 744 for about a month. Now it is back to 772ER. Korean does not have any 772LRs. Interesting that the arrival is non-stop while the departure stops at LAX before continuing on to Incheon.

Good catch. I always get the LR and the ER confused. -LR is the B77L, while the -ER is the B77W, right?
