Iam looking for suggestions for running FlightAware on something that isnt an RPi. Thinking along the lines of a small factor PC running the OS.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated
Thanks

For installing piaware, dump1090-fa, dump978-fa, and piaware-web on PC running Debian or Ubuntu amd64, i386, x86_64 please see following github site:
What special purpose do you have? If not used for other tasks, any PC would be simply “overkill”. Feeding doesn’t need the performance of it and the power consumption would be much higher.
If you need a bit more power (e.g. because you switch to an Airspy device), any RPi 4 or 5 would be sufficient.
N100 based mini pcs are usually at around 6 W when there isn’t much load.
So maybe more power but not that much more.
sure, it was just an aspect. But why spending more power if not needed.
Just checked my Airsquitter power consumption, it is around 50% of a regular RPi4 with FA stick.
