I’m planning on photographing multiple airshows this year (only one last year and none for a while before that). But what I’m seeing is an almost carbon-copy of the demonstration schedules…same handful of airframes, same show performers in many cases. Not that there’s anything wrong with that completely, I love watching amazing planes and pilots…but are there any truly different airshows that I should try to get to?

I’m in the US, but I’ll take global suggestions and recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Oshkosh is the last week of July - would be a good one to put on your list.

I would second Oshkosh if you can. It’s a lot more than an airshow. There is no shortage of interesting and unique things to look at and photograph, both in the air and on the ground!
