Article published on ClaimFlights says that airlines owe billions of euros of air passengers. In the last 10 years, only two percent of passengers sought compensation for delayed or cancelled flights. According to ClaimFlights, passengers failed to claim around 4 billion euros to which they were entitled.
This is all because of air passengers are aware of their rights, passengers do not know that in case of flight delays of more than 3 hours they are eligible to claim compensation up to 600€ plus expenses and reimbursement of other costs.
