Ads out of control!

I’m having an issue in Chrome, where the ads on FlightAware are completely out of control! Right now, I have 77 cookies, most of them from various ad sites. These ad sites are injecting so much javascript that the website generates thousands of errors and warnings in just a few second. It’s so bad that it dogs down my whole computer. If I turn on AdBlock, for example, it has now blocked 294 ads since I reloaded the page a minute ago.

Is this normal?

@tfjield Not normal from my experience. I have AdBlock plus and Ghostery running on my browser ( Firefox). I also have PiHole and Unbound on a separate Raspberry Pi which block ads very effectively.
I’ve been on the forum page for about 10 minutes and only have blocked 4 ads.
