Just causes an unnecessary entry on my drop down list, is there any way to delete this?

After a couple of days being inactive you can remove it.
I had the same problem, because the PiAware connects directly after you started it again.
You can afterwards change your configuration on the Raspi and after 24 hours there appears a link on the settings (here in your FA profile) where you can request the deletion of the accidentially created site.

Yes, that is odd but as it appears easy to rectify (once you know how) then no problem.
