I’m about 20 miles from KIAD but I can’t go out to verify that this flight is really operating with A380 equipment today. Both the inbound and outbound show the type.
Their 380 service is scheduled to being in June.

Last week a similar thing showed up at Montreal, but a local spotter said it was actually operated by a B772.
It’s not, it’s a B772. Looking into it.
The same thing showed up today (3/18/11) Interesting that the tracking log at the bottom shows A388, but the map shows B772.
I’m booking a flight from KIAD to Rome, FCO via United 966. United tells me it’s a 772 but the tracking shows a 763. Is it possible to verify the equipment.
Per the published schedules it’s a B763 through 3/28, then a B772 starting 3/29.
Pretty common to downgauge/upgauge European routes in the winter/summer.
