Frontier has not released new seat availability since November and has less than five months of inventory available for booking. Ticket counter and telephone agents seem to be mystified about the delay. Any theories?

On a recent flight, an attendant announced loudly (not over the P.A.), “Anyone want to buy an airline? This one definitely is for sale.” True, or just unhappiness?

It definitely is for sale.

They recently announced that they were outsourcing all ground handling (above and below wing) at all stations except DEN.

I would guess that the delay is that they want to make sure that they have a ground handling contract in place with all those stations before opening inventory there beyond the transition date.
