Emirates - UAE216 Way off the flight plan ?

Thought I heard this plane come over northern Canada last night and looked it up.

I don’t know where you are but looking at the flight plan it was supposed to get as far north as 81 degrees. The blue line is wrong.

Here in Vancouver, BC I quite often see the daily flights (three planes) between Dubai and Seattle, San Francisco or Los Angeles passing overhead or within ‘view’ of my ADS-B antenna. I assume it’s wind/weather as well as other traffic that determines their path variations. It’s late morning (PDT) for southward and late afternoon for northbound.
