Ground stop because of congested airspace. Right now in the NYC area at Teterboro and Westchester County, inbound flights are being held with delays of >2 hours.

It’s called a Ground Stop and is not at all unusual.
I feel stupid now. 
I’ve guess i’ve just never noticed it on FA under airport delays
