Is the heading displayed in the track log True or Magnetic? Also Re: (Air Tran) FL 313 for 04May 2013. Course line (orange dotted line) doesn’t match the stated route (JHW EWC J53 PSK CAE J51 SAV J103 OMN CWRLD3) for the flight. Does Flight aware get an updated route that displays on the map but not on the route description! I used Flight Aware in flight and it was fantastic!
The heading (which the pedants will note is actually course) are true.
The textual route is frozen at departure time; the waypoints on the map continue to update throughout the flight as reroutes occur.
