Just trying to understand data as I have no aviation experience.
Switched off mlat to avoid 4 lots of data showing on Skyview so am left with ads-b and other. The map lists Total Aircraft and below that, with positions.
Now total aircraft does appear to correspond to total of ads-b and other but unable to understand ‘with position’, I would have thought that was ads-b but seems not.

Not sure, but maybe not every adsb message does have position information, and sometimes message are not decoded properly,

Read that before, good explanation but my Skyview figures don’t add up.
Not going to lose any sleep over it, just trying to understand what is being evaluated and where.
