I am currently running the last tests for some small update which mostly deals with upsampling.
However, I have a few comments regarding your results/questions:
- I am not using graphs1090, so i have no idea what “ADS-B tracks seen” really means.
- I do not know what counts as “without position” or in other words: when does a contact count as plane?
- Regarding the “Other” column in @cnuwer table: According to some document (https://www.flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/files/GuidefortheADS-BfeederStatsPage.pdf), these are non-ADS-B messages that couldn’t be used for MLAT. This is tricky, because i do not know which messages (downlink format) are usually used for MLAT.
- Keep in mind that stream1090 is for Mode-S and not only for ADS-B. It will check and output also other messages including downlink format 20 and 21 (Comm-B).
- It would be interesting to see also the downlink format composition from the airspy results. I have no idea how many messages of which type airspy_adsb is producing which is essential for the “Other” column.
