Setting up Pi - view locally

Hi, I am just setting up the ADS-B and Pi. Is there some way to see the system working before going online with it?

I have followed all the instructions for the New System, and the Pi part is working and loads PiAware. I have changed the password as recommended. But now I can see nothing of planes.

I did some searching and there is PlanePlotter but it appears to be only windows and not Pi/Linux. I also found some freeware for using the ADS-B, but again it seems to be only windows.

How do I see if this is all working with the Pi?
