Does anyone on this forum have previous experience with a week-long roundtrip covering as much of the US as possible, in a single engine (cessna/piper/diamond/cirrus)?
We’re looking at an average of 6 to 8 flying hours a day, seven days in a row.
Starting point doesn’t really matter.
We just want to hear from pilot’s who have flown such “missions” in the past
I did Houston, Pheonix, Bellingham, Rapid City, Chicago, Milwaukee, Springfield MO, Dallas, Houston in light twin.
There was a purpose to it though, picking family that were visiting Vancouver B.C.; visiting family in the Chicago area, visiting the Oshkosh Air Show. Checking out the caves in MO and never having been to Dallas before (check out the planetarium, a real treat).
When I do a love of flying type trip, I work to find destinations and routes that really maximize the benefits of using a light airplane.
Matt:
I scanned your site and daily routing. However, I believe you over-flew AR when going from MS (KMEI) to Neosho, MO (KEOS). No airport listed for AR - so 47 of 48?
