Is there an RF Signal Combiner/spliter center in the 1090 MHz frequency so I can combine several antennas in diferent windows.
There are many splitters on the market. Just make sure they can handle the 1090 MHz frequency. I have generics that work well. Here is one.
Old ham radio guy myself with physics and computer background. Splitters are designed to take a single source signal and split into multiple destinations. Think of the cable system in a house.
Trying to combine antennas gets into RF phasing problems. Each antenna will have a particular amplitude and phase, trying to add separate signals from different antennas will likely result as a mixed phase result. Kinda like having a singer off key. And depending on the position of the aircraft relative to the multiple antennas, the phase problems will be changing every second. It can be done using beam antennas and very carefully measured and assembled connections, but usually only works reliably at much lower frequencies. Better to have a higher gain single antenna than multiple antennas.
You could use multiple receiver/pi systems each with separate antennas. Then using a combiner program to collect the results of each system and feed a single piaware program. I have not done that. Good luck and no harm in experimenting and seeing what happens. Best wishes.
