Remove feeder from account

Hi -

I have a piaware feeder, and just set one up for my dad. When we went to claim it, I didn’t realize I was logged in, so his feeder is on my account. I can’t figure out how to remove it from my account so he can claim it on his account. Any input appreciated.

I did click the cog above the site but don’t see any option to disassociate

Thanks.

The simplest way is to create a new site:

sudo systemctl stop piaware
sudo rm /var/cache/piaware/feeder_id
sudo systemctl start piaware

This will generate a new feeder ID and a new site. Then claim the new site with the right user.

If you want to reassign an established site, retaining history, you’ll need to email adsbsupport@flightaware.com, it is a manual process.

If you want to remove it from your account on the Flightaware pages, you can simply wait 24 hours. After that perioid, you have a link in the settings of that receiver (gear icon) where you can then remove the feeder from your account.

After that your dad should be able to claim the device.

But you still need to make the local changes mentioned by @obj
Otherwise it will keep the ID and link it again to your account

Thanks for the feedback. We were able to get this resolved with your help. Appreciated.
