Is there a way to put a limit on our monthly costs with Flight Aware. In other words, cap the number of calls to the service we could request in a month in order to keep costs controlled? Perhaps with the ability to dial it up or down depending on season or other dynamic factor.
This can be handled by the pricing model of FlightXML 3. By default once the the billable query cap is reached the API will decline further requests and no additional queries can be made until the next billing cycle.
If you’ve hit your cap and need to increase usage then you have the option to increase your plan level and get immediate access to an increased query cap. Scheduled downgrades are also possible if the current plan is not an appropriate spend amount.
