I have a piaware receiver running piaware 6.1.21-v7+ that was working like gangbusters up until about a month ago… then nothing. I have rebooted it, checked the antenna and even swapped the Orange USB receiver (with filter) to the blue one (without the filter). The pi is accessible via IP. Clients are able to connect to it using the beast mode socket - just no data at all. The feeder dropped off my feeder view on FlightAware as well which is strange since I’d still expect to see it even if there was no data.
PS, my other feeder which runs piaware 5.15.76-v7+ is running great and is ranked ‘221’ (whatever that means?).
AFAIK nothing has changed (note that the antenna connectors are weather proofed). How do I look at the details of the USB device including signal levels, etc. Any other debugging advice?
I’d do what @tomvdhorst suggests , of course, but the version of piaware you are running is old. It certainly wouldn’t cause it to stop working suddenly, but this may be a good opportunity to reinstall everything with the newest version (of the OS and piaware(
What kind of antenna are you running? And are you certain that hasn’t been damaged somehow? Is the cable still in good condition? Weatherproofing your connections doesn’t mean much if there’s water intrusion into the antenna body or the cable itself.
I see user lockon and user lockon1. The person is using 2 different usernames posting first person feeder info using the “no feeder” username. What is the motivation . . . Hmmm.
