Taking a look at htop for a quick check of what is running on my Pi, I have seen that piaware and dump1090-fa are running twice. Is this normal ?
I would add that the Pi is operating perfectly, feeding FA with M-lat enabled.
But this seems strange.

They are multithreaded programs, you are seeing the individual threads.
(Same with “mate-settings-daemon” in your example, it’s not running 5 times…)

When you see multiple processes that have all characteristics in common except the PID and CPU-related fields (NIce value, CPU%, TIME+, …), it’s highly likely that they’re threads in the same process.
