Just got around to the Piaware 8.2 upgrade. Afterwards mlat-client isn’t starting and has an error:
Fatal Python error: Py_Initialize: Unable to get the locale encoding
LookupError: no codec search functions registered: can't find encoding

I ran ‘Upgrade and restart Piaware’ from the web panel. It’s running on an older install of Raspbian 9 - stretch

What image did you start from?
Have you changed the system locale?
I don’t really remember what the last image I used was, somewhere from Piaware 3 to 5 I believe. I don’t think I would have changed the locale, can’t think of any reason that would be useful. It’s currently set to en_GB.UTF-8
Thanks
I think there is a good chance that the SD image was from Piaware 3.6.3, does that make sense?
Should I just re-image it?

That is probably the simplest option, if you don’t have anything else on there you need to preserve. I haven’t seen that particular failure before.
