Wow its been a while but i really don’t have too much time anymore for website forums… So my girlfriend and i are going to Orlando next month for vacation June-14 to June-21 doing all the normal Orlando stuff (New Harry Potter Wizarding World opens on June-18th, She’s a fan 
so i have to go) Anyways when we leave our flight leaves at 6:30 i think and the car has to be dropped off at like 3 so we have time to kill, Is there an observation deck or some place to watch A/C takeoff land and like taxi? Thanks
MCO is very spread out…there isn’t really a central place to watch aircraft move about. The new runway is partially hidden by trees from the vantage point of the top of the parking garage, and last time I was there that was where all the heavy metal was coming in.
The south-eastern most terminal is the most interesting- where the Virgin, BA, Delta, and other Intl Heavies come to. Best bet for that view is from one of the parking garages, bu of course you would have to re-clear security.
Someone correct me if my info is out of date- maybe there is a vantage point from the hotel in the terminal?
In the old days you could just hop out to Airside 4 and take a look at the big jets, and the gobs and gobs of sunburned euros waiting to board.

I don’t know about the hotel but you are allowed to go up to the helipad to take photos. I know I watched the Shuttle launch up there couple of months back. The angles are not the best. The 18/36s are the best in terms of spotting an aircraft from rollout to rotate or approach to wheels stop. The 17/35s have heavies on the far runway covered by trees but the touchdown zone (I think that’s what you call it) is between the trees so it is viewable but is further away than any of the other runways. At airside 4, you can watch the takeoffs and landings from any of the Delta gates but gates 80-87 are pretty good.
