On- time Performance for April 2008

Many of the same airlines occupied the top spots that always do (Hawaiian, Southwest) but their were some starling numbers. US has the best on time performance of ANY legacy, proof that their integration/merger may be finished. Northwest has fallen over the years from one of the better airlines to one in the lower half. The average for all airlines is 77.67%, not good.

Does that designate controllable delays or just delays in general? Controllable delays would be more interesting to me, to see how many MTX or agent delays airlines get hit with.

Here is a release from the BTS

I am not sure if that answers your question.?!?

It’s dirty, but yeah thats basically what I was looking for. Respectable numbers overall, and looks like overall improvement across the board.

If im not mistaken, it only counts controllable delay not ATC or Weather delays.

USAir is focusing on departure times to the exclusion of all else. Late connecting flight? Too bad, the doors close 10min early. Non-revving? Too bad, can’t take the time to clear you. If your tush isn’t in the seat in time to make the 10 min early door close rule, you are out of luck.
