Anybody know the logic behind Northwest (Pinnacle) operating flights between 2 non-hub cities. For example, AUS - IND?
They were experimenting with making IND a “mini-hub” or focus city.
KIND is listed as a focus city for Pinnacle Airlines.
I’m guessing here…it probably became a focus city when ATA went under to try and fill their void…just a guess mind you. 
It started focusing on IND when ATA was still an operating entity.
MAYBE…they smelled the death in the air and knew ahead of time…
KBOS-KIND also seemed a bit weird, but it was awful convenient.
