I hung it in front of large windows. Signal is good as it has to penetrate only glass and blinds, thinner than a wall, and have much less attenuation than the wall.
1Ghz Signal Attenuation by Glass 2 x 6mm thick = 2x0.75 = 1.5 dB
1Ghz Signal Attenuation by masonary wall 20 cm thick = 12 dB
