I’m sure this is answered somewhere. I did a quick forum search, and searched through the faq, to no avail.
Is it possible to track future flights? That is, if I know the flight number, airline, and date (next week sometime), can I get notifications sent automatically?
All I can figure out so far is tracking live flights, and adding flights to My FlightAware.

Flight data is only received a few days ahead of schedule. You will not be able to view flight information until a few days prior to the actual flight, but you are still able set flight alerts in advance. By Clicking on My Alerts at the top of the site you can input the flight number and specific date or dates you wish to be notified for. You can also customize which flight events you want to be notified of and also where you would like to receive the notifications.

I’m shocked how FlightUnaware I was of this. I looked right at that feature, but only after setting up alerts from flight detail pages (/live/flight/). Duh! Thank you 
Just be aware that if you live on the other side of the International Date Line in Australia or South East Asia your alerts may come on the wrong day.
Don’t rely on it as it can be quite embarrassing.
