Please change the new weather radar overlay on Flightaware. This new one is so bad, it shows just some moderate rain showers approaching ORD/MDW when a line of extremely heavy rain/severe thunderstorms is moving towards them!
It appears your images were taken at different times. 15 minute delay on the FA radar might be affecting the displayed intensity of the rain
But the resolution is poor on the FA display
