I really enjoy following the planes and routes that you guys provide for the NFL, NCAA football, etc.
Anyone here plan on tracking the flights from the various schools to the 1st and 2nd round tournament sites?
I would do it myself but you guys seem to be way ahead of me in terms of finding the data.

Since the teams travel about 20 or so people, the vast majority of schools will probably take commercial flights.
A lot of regional jets and some use some smaller jets during the regular season. I assume it’ll be the same for the tournament.
Although the players and coaching staff make up about 20 people, there are fans and media that will easily fill a mainline jet. Expect to see lots of charter flights with MD-80’s and 737s. I’ve seen Southwest, Allegiant, Delta, USA Jet Airlines and others.
Unfortunately one of the larger charter operators for NCAA 30 seat aircraft has blocked their tail numbers this year. Ultimate Jet Charter carries about half of the teams during March Madness using a fleet of Dornier 328 Jets. All of these trips are booked with a company called Chartersearch who’s sole purpose is to handle NCAA sports travel.
Expressjet will be very busy over the next couple of weeks also.
