I was told that certain NASCAR jets routinely land on grass surfaces.
Is this possible and probable due to insurance restrictions? This source stated that one of the drivers jet recently landed on grass at a high school campus.
Some smaller jets are certified for off pavement operations. An approved airport is all the insurance companies normally need.
That would have to be one heck of a large high school campus.
Don’t forget the 737s with gravel kits.
Who is the driver that they mentioned? And where was the campus? Might be able to rule out the story.
